After 20 years of raising and loving our alpacas the time has come... our adventure is coming to an end and we are selling our alpacas. "Our golden years" are upon us and we want to spend more time spoiling our grandkids and take more time to visit with friends and family. We are holding our Retirement Auction:
We take pride in producing high quality breeding stock. Our focus has been on improving the quality of our alpaca herd through selective breeding. Our goal has been to produce sound, functional, productive alpacas with fine, lustrous, top quality fibre that we turn into wonderful end product. We have been vigilant in selecting and breeding females that are easy birthing, have strong mothering instincts, and produce an abundance of milk. In an effort to produce quality breeding stock, we bred our females to top males, most were held exclusive or had very limited outside breedings. As a result we offer unique, outcross genetics that can be used with confidence in any breeding program. We have thoroughly enjoyed the last 20 years that we have spent raising alpacas and making friends in the industry. We have taken great pride in producing what we consider to be functional and productive alpacas. Hummingherd's Rum Runner - co-owned with Battle River Alpacas
Colour: Light Fawn We are thrilled to have purchased Rum Runner from Hummingherd Alpacas in Emmett, Idaho in partnership with Battle River Alpacas. Rum Runner has exquisitely soft, crimpy fleece with excellent density. His sire is PC Running Late an outstanding male, his grandsire is Titan one of the most highly regarded herdsires in America. Rum Runners dam is CMR Peruvian Marzipan, one of Hummingherd's most consistent high quality producers. She has multiple awards and championships to her credit. Rum Runner's awards are notable -
Eclipse Bar
Eclipse BAR comes to us from a great lineage; son of Kelowna's Sundance Kid and Alisha's Crystal . His conformation is without question and his fleece is dense, and fine with an abundance of crimp. He has won several awards placing first and second in large white classes in Brandon and Lloydminster. We bred Eclipse to several of our RGA Miguel females with wonderful results. Eclipse has given us light fawn and ivory offspring that have additional fineness and density without comprising conformation and stature. Adventure's Baywatch
Baywatch is a young male that comes with excellent credentials, the grandson of Peruvian Captain Nemo and Peruvian Apollo. He is strong boned with exceptional comformation, a perfect bite and a fleece that has great density, fineness, crimp and lustre. We are expecting his first crias this spring. Adventure's Andre
Andre is a striking young male who looks very much like his sire RGA Miguel and grandsire Snowmass Legacy's Golden Boy. Andre has the strong conformation like his sire and his fleece is fine, lustrous, and dense with lots of crimp. His fleece has won each year at Olds Fleece Show.
