Welcome to
Adventure Alpacas. We are conveniently located just 45 minutes southeast
of Calgary near the Bow River. We have been actively involved in
the agriculture industry raising grain and cattle all our lives.
Having observed alpacas
in South America in 1969 - 1970, Lloyd since that time, had a dream
of owning and raising alpacas. Sharing his dream with his wife,
Alice and his sister and her husband, Audrey Ann & Brian Rowland,
they formed Adventure Alpacas and bought their first alpacas in
1990.
Our goal is
to establish and maintain a superior herd. We take pride in producing
high quality breeding stock. Our animals are sold fertility guaranteed
and are registered with the Canadian CLAA and the American ARI
registries. Alpacas are easily trained to lead; we spend many enjoyable
hours working with them. Our males standing-at-stud have been selected
for their high quality fibre in combination with their exceptional
conformation. These selected males offer Peruvian, Bolivian, Chilean
and Canadian bloodlines.
Ongoing
buyer support is an important and integral part of our program here
at Adventure. As well, we can board and care for animals on an adjistment
basis.
Alpaca
fibre is important to us. We breed for fibre density and fineness.
We spin, weave, knit our fibre into beautiful finished products
and will gladly show the wonderful processed fibre and finished
alpaca products that these animals have produced.
We enjoy having
visitors to our ranch to see and touch our animals. We think you'll
appreciate the quality we have to offer.
